I am now told the talk will be broadcast on 28th December at 8pm (not the 21st December).

Will it be possible to obtain an unedited version of the recording?
Clearly the BBC ought to make such a recording available, so licence payers can judge the fairness of the editing for themselves. That is, unless they have something to hide...
